My name is Randy Hartman. I started working with leather while I was a trail guide in the Rocky Mountain National Park in 1990. A local leather worker came out one Sunday afternoon after the last ride had come in and showed us how to make a checkbook cover. I was hooked. I went and bought a starter kit the next day and started doing leather work.

I have learned a lot over the years on Youtube from such great leather workers as Joe Meling among others. Now I am very proficient in doing leather work to take care of all your leather needs.

I came up with the name Bugling Elk Custom Leather while living in Montana.

Once you hear a bull elk bugle, you never forget. And that is my goal. To make sure that you never forget where you can come for everything you need in leather goods.

All the leather we use is from the U.S.A. Nothing is imported
